Serving the sacred cow with love, care and reverence
In the spiritual culture of India, the cow (Go-Mata) has always been regarded as a symbol of purity, nourishment, and selfless giving. At Aadya Dadaji Spiritual Foundation, Go-Mata Seva is practised as a heartfelt expression of gratitude and responsibility towards these gentle beings.
The cow gives silently — milk, nourishment, and countless benefits to human life — without asking for anything in return. This selfless nature has made Go-Mata a living symbol of the very spirit of seva that spiritual seekers are encouraged to cultivate.
Under the guidance of Swami Shivanand Dadaji’s teachings, caring for cows is not seen as a mere cultural practice. It is understood as an act of compassion, protection of the vulnerable, and alignment with the values of non-violence and gratitude.
Through Go-Mata Seva, the Foundation supports the proper care, feeding, shelter, and well-being of cows, especially those that are old, abandoned, or in need of protection.
Ensuring regular and sufficient fodder, green grass, and clean water so that the cows remain healthy and content.
Providing protected and clean living spaces where cows can rest safely, especially during extreme weather.
Extending care to abandoned, injured, or ageing cows who can no longer support themselves and need protection.
“To serve Go-Mata is to practise gentleness, patience, and gratitude. In caring for these silent givers, the heart of the seeker also becomes softer and more expansive.”
You are welcome to support Go-Mata Seva through contribution, volunteering, or by helping spread awareness about compassionate care for cows.
